In a world filled with distractions and constant motion, it can be easy to drift away from our connection to The Most High. But nurturing that relationship doesn’t require grand gestures or hours of solitude. It’s about intentionality—welcoming Him into the ordinary moments of your day. Thinking of Him as someone who is always present right there with you. Not as just a Father/Husband/Grand Creator or something untouchable but also just a friend. Of course with the same reverence in mind, but also someone you should consider just as much as you do someone you see physically. (Deuteronomy 6:5)

Start With Stillness

Begin each day with a moment of stillness. Whether it’s five minutes of prayer, reading scripture, or simply breathing deeply and acknowledging your gratitude—this practice sets the tone for the day to be centered around Him. It doesn’t have to be perfect or performative-just honest and intentional. If you start the day with workouts, walks or runs in the park, don’t listen to music. Instead be okay with listening to nature, or silence, distant chattering; let your thoughts flow with Him. Or imagine He is right there with you. Think of him through sets or if you must listen to something, let it be words of inspiration, scriptures, or podcast speaking about this topic, or simply instrumentals that align your spirit with Him.

Invite The Most High Into Your Routine

Talk to The Most High as you go through your day. Washing dishes? Driving to work? Folding laundry? Use those moments to express thanks, ask for guidance, or just reflect. This turns routine tasks into sacred time all the time. Not just allowing you to be filled with vain thoughts and emptiness throughout the day, but with substance and purpose.

Keep Reminders Around You

Surround yourself with visual or written reminders of His presence. A verse on your mirror. A playlist of uplifting worship music. A journal by your bedside. These gentle prompts keep your focus aligned with what truly matters. Go-to scriptures on stand by allow no room for anything or anyone else to creep in that will steer you away from that. It is a guard to your heart.

Honor Others To Show Appreciation and Gratitude to The Most High

One of the simplest ways to honor The Most High is by loving people well. Listen actively, give generously, forgive quickly. When we serve others, we serve The Most High because He created mankind. And whether we like it or not, see it or not, everyone walking and breathing has a purpose that He wishes to be fulfilled. Appreciating people for just being who they are, showing that loving-kindness is something that majority don’t experience often because of the cruelties of the world. So if you are one more person to spread kindness for just a moment, then do so humbly and proud.

Stay Rooted in Truth

Carve out intentional time for spiritual nourishment—reading the Word, meditating, or surrounding yourself around others who also practice the same faith. These practices fill you up and strengthen your connection when life gets heavy. (Deuteronomy 6:6-9, Joshua 1:8)

Close Your Day With Reflection

Before you sleep, take a moment to reflect: How did you feel with The Most High present in your thoughts today? What challenged you? What are you grateful for? Reflection turns experience into wisdom and keeps your heart soft and open to His correction, blessings, and grace.

Including The Most High in your everyday life isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being present. The Most High isn’t far away, waiting for a special occasion. The Most High is right here, ready to walk with you through every piece of debris. Keep in mind it may not feel so close in one night, it may take some time to feel Him on a consistent basis, because just like you, He has feelings to. He too needs to see that you trust and truly desire Him in your presence for more than just reputation or validation. Every relationship thrives off consistency, loyalty, and trust. So just like He had to be patient with you choosing to seek Him, you too must return the grace and patience to see His Beauty in the Debris. (Proverbs 8:17, Jeremiah 29:13)
