Beauty in The Debris
By: Blu Iris
We all have a story to tell. And no matter how those stories unfold, they often lead us to the same conclusion: The Truth. At the core, we’re all navigating similar terrain—searching, learning, stumbling, healing, serving, achieving, making life-changing decisions, and trying to make sense of it all. Some lessons come quickly. Others take time, and when they do, they often come with pain and shame. But as we’ve come to understand, it’s not about the fall—it’s about what you do after.
Beauty in the Debris is about finding peace in the aftermath of madness. Its about embracing the journey of healing along with accepting what was even if it wasn’t what you thought it would be. Seeing the beauty in madness. It’s about learning to live with pain and shame, but also allowing those experiences to shape us with humility. It’s about doing better, not just for ourselves but for the generations before and after us. Beauty in the Debris isn’t just about sharing personal experiences—it’s about helping you recognize and appreciate your own path, too. To acknowledge that this is what life is about and what it takes. The beauty in it all may look different for each of us, but at its core, it’s all the same—learning more about who we are to The Most High, and who we are to those around us.
These days, it’s clearer than ever that we’re all confronting hard truths—about ourselves, each other, and the world we live in. And with truth comes choice. You can let it break you, or you can let it heal you.
Beauty in the Debris was designed and thought of with a core belief that life is a work of art. Whether it’s cooking, cleaning, communicating, driving, dancing, gaming, or sitting down with a pencil and paper—every act is an expression of who we are and what we’ve been given. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about appreciating the process. With openness, creativity, and trust in what we can’t control, we begin to see that the little things… really are the big things.
This space was made for anyone it’s meant to reach—to explore how art, in all its forms, can guide us through self-discovery and deep healing. Not just from our own wounds, but from the scars passed down through generations. Living isn’t about doing just one thing—it’s doing many things, at once, all the time.
Whether or not you can sketch a portrait or paint a person in 3D doesn’t matter. What matters is the willingness to try. Because when we truly want something, we find a way. It’s not just about what we can do—it’s about what we should do, for ourselves and for those around us.
And to be clear—none of this is new. The wisdom shared here has been passed down, repeated, rephrased, and rediscovered across time. Beauty in the Debris doesn’t claim ownership or superiority. It doesn’t belong to any religious group, organization, or church. But it does believe in The Creator of heaven and earth, and the simple truth of following foundational life core characteristics ingrained to uphold righteous morals and values—principles often seen as traditional, yet truly reflect submission and reverence to the Creator’s ways, meant for all of life to be lived blessed and fruitfully. At the heart of it all is how we treat one another—what’s in our hearts, and what’s not. (Proverbs 2:6)
Truth is everywhere. And yes, within that truth, there are lies, confusion, and moments of doubt. That’s where discernment comes in. Without it, growth and healing become nearly impossible. (Proverbs 2:3-5)
So if you’ve found yourself here, just know this: In order to get to the beauty, you have to be willing to get through the debris. It won’t be quick or easy, but if consistent on the journey, it will be fulfilling. So stay strong, walk humbly, and above all else… wait.
